Six Months Continued

Previously I wrote about getting even with some of the people that screwed with me in the past.  As those of you who have read my posts know, I also wrote about TV westerns several months ago.  In those, revenge killings are a theme.  I’ve never had that urge.  The problem with revenge killings is that the “revengee” never knows you’ve gotten even with him or her.

Further, good revenge involves not letting the offender know he has been “had,” but letting him simply think that bad luck has befallen him.  The Sting, a 1973 Newman/Redford movie, is a classic example:  The two heroes avenge the murder of a mutual friend by pulling off a big con and swindling a mobster (played by Robert Shaw), who never realizes he has been swindled.

Those of you who read the comment objecting to my previous post about placing an ad in newspapers and downloading kiddie porn on revengees may agree with him.  On the other hand, I think I’m smart enough to place ads in newspapers and online to fool people – or at least, I may be when the time comes in the next fifteen years!  I’m not in favor of it obviously, but once this material is downloaded, it’s in the public domain.

In my ample free time, I’ve produced some other ideas for revenge.  For instance, printing up official looking documents from a hospital and mailing them to people, with information that they have been exposed to certain diseases or that a recent test has determined that they have gonorrhea.  Even if they haven’t been to the hospital, their partner might not believe their explanation!
